Every year on 13 February in the UK
Galentine's Day: a day to celebrate the women who have your back.
The day before Valentine's Day belongs to your friends. Brunch, a night in or a small gift, it is a simple reason to tell the women in your life how much they matter.
What is Galentine’s Day?
Galentine’s Day falls on 13 February every year, the day before Valentine’s Day. It is a day for women to celebrate their female friends. It is unofficial and has no organiser. People mark it with brunch, a night in, a card or a small gift for the friends who are always there.
The next one is on Saturday 13 February 2027.
Simple ways to mark the day
Get together
Brunch, afternoon tea or a long walk with a hot drink at the end. The plan matters less than the company.
Say it
Write a friend a note telling her exactly why she matters. It costs nothing and she can keep it.
Give something small
A bunch of flowers, a favourite treat or a photo of the two of you in a frame.
Include someone new
Invite a colleague, a neighbour or a friend who has had a hard year. Every friendship counts, however new.
For brands
Prosecco and drinks, brunch and restaurants, beauty and spa, gifts, florists and experiences all have a natural place on Galentine’s Day. We work with a small number of partners each year.
